A Horseheads School Bus was involved in a fatal accident on Friday afternoon at about 3:38PM. 88-year-old Josephine Roemmelt ran a stop sign on West Sullivan Road at Route 13 in the Town of Veteran and was struck by the school bus. Ms. Roemmelt was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the school bus was the only occupant at the time of the crash. The investigation is continuing.
