A Horseheads police cruiser, conducting a traffic stop on the side of Watkins Road, was hit from behind by a third vehicle. Two police officers were injured in the 1 AM Thursday accident. They were treated and released from the hospital. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
