The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 38-year-old Michael Rogers of Beaver Dams, New York on felony Grand Larceny charges. The suspect is alleged to have issued two personal checks for $75,000 each to Nicholas Farms in Logantown, Pennsylvania. Both checks were returned for insufficient funds and were never paid. In November 2017, the Chemung County Criminal Investigation Division initiated an investigation into Rogers issuing bad checks throughout the country involving the sale of cattle. The suspect was arraigned in the Catlin Town Court and remanded to the Chemung County Jail on $10,000 bail. Additional charges are expected to be filed.
