One man has been arrested in connection with the shooting that injured two people over the July 4th weekend in Elmira.
According to Elmira Police, Benjamin N. Greene has been charged with attempted murder in the second degree and criminal use of a firearm in the first degree, both Class B felonies, as well as felony criminal possession of a weapon and assault.
Greene was arrested in connection with the shooting that occurred in the area of Broadway Street and Mt. Zoar Street on Saturday, July 5th.
One person, who was the intended target, was struck in the abdomen. The other victim was hit by a stray bullet in the thigh.
He was remanded to the Chemung County Jail on $750,000 cash bail.
