Seven people have now been charged in connection with the murder of a trans man in Yates County.
New York State Police announced the arrests of two more people on Friday. 29-year-old Kimberly Sochia of Canandaigua and 21-year-old Thomas Eaves of Geneva have been charged with murder in the second degree, depraved indifference.
According to police, 24-year-old Sam Norquist was murdered in Ontario County and his body was left in Yates County.
Norquist was staying in a motel in the Canandaigua area. He was reportedly tortured for more than a month before his body was discovered.
Five people, Kyle Sage, Patrick Goodwin, Precious Aruaga, Emily Motyka and Jennifer Qiijano, were previously charged with murder.
