A 53-year-old Corning man was arrested following a comprehensive child exploitation investigation by the New York State Police.
According to police, Gerald D. Makin, Jr. has been charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child, a Class D felony, and possessing a sexual performance by a child, a Class E felony.
The investigation began after a referral from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Makin was arrested on Oct. 24 and transported to the Steuben County Jail for arraignment.
