The City of Elmira has been named one of the top 20 best places to retire in New York State.
According to the study conducted by US News and World Report, Elmira was ranked No. 13 out of 26 New York communities that were named to the best places to retire list.
The rankings were based on categories like housing affordability, weather, culture, leisure, retail and restaurants.
