Firefighters battle garage fire in Horseheads

Several fire departments responded to a garage fire in Horseheads on Monday morning.

According to the Horseheads Fire Department, the fire started at around 11 a.m. on Fourth Street.

The fire has been ruled accidental. The cause has been determined as a kerosene heater that was too close to flammable items.

No injuries have been reported from the incident.

Firefighters from Elmira Heights, Town and Country, Millport and Chemung County also responded to the scene.
