The former Tops Markets Plaza on Elmira’s Southside has a new owner.
According to WETM-TV, the property at 299 South Main Street in Elmira was sold last month for around $1.7 million dollars to an LLC connected to a company called Rural King.
The company describes itself as a hardware, farm and home store offering a wide range of products, including feed, home products and more.
Rural King has more than 130 stores in 13 states. This would be its first store in New York.
Rural King has a job posting for a store manager for the Elmira location on its website. The Tops location closed its doors in 2018.
