An Ithaca teenager has been charged for his role in a fatal car crash in Schuyler County.
According to the Schuyler County District Attorney’s Office, 18-year-old Michael Blake has been charged with manslaughter, vehicular manslaughter and two counts of Driving While Ability Impaired.
Blake was the alleged driver of a car when it crashed on County Road 1 in the Town of Hector on Sept. 29.
The passenger in the vehicle, 17-year-old Trumansburg resident Marcus Knight, was killed in the accident.
Blake was injured in the crash and had to be airlifted to a hospital.
Prosecutors have alleged that Blake was drunk and high at the time of the crash.
Blake was remanded to the Schuyler County Jail on $15,000 bail.
