Man indicted on illegal firearms charges in Chemung County

A Chemung County Grand Jury has indicted a man on a dozen counts related to illegal firearms.

According to the Chemung County District Attorney’s Office, Justin L. Hoffman has been charged with 10 counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree; one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree and one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree.

Hoffman is accused of threatening to shoot a person on Sept. 24th.

Police said Hoffman illegally possessed numerous silencers, large-capacity magazines, including a 50-round pistol magazine. He also allegedly possessed multiple guns, including one that was capable of firing multiple bullets with one continuous pull of the trigger.
