New York State’s annual spring burn ban will go into effect later this month.
The burn ban will run from March 16 through May 14.
During that time, it is illegal to burn brush due to an increased risk of wildfires.
Small backyard fires, cooking fires and camping fires are still allowed while the New York State burn ban is in place.
