The New York State Police is participating in a national distracted driving enforcement campaign.
Troopers will conduct targeted enforcement details focused on drivers using electronic devices while operating a motor vehicle.
The state police will utilize both marked state police vehicle and concealed identity traffic enforcement vehicles.
During the same enforcement campaign last spring, troopers issued just under 23,000 tickets, including over 4,600 for distracted driving violations.
The campaign will run through Monday, April 13.
