U.S. Representative Nick Langworthy announced on Monday that he has decided not to consider leasing office space inside Elmira City Hall.
The proposal to lease space inside City Hall to Congressman Nick Langworthy will no longer move forward after Langworthy indicated on Monday that he is no longer interested in the space and is pursuing other options.
Langworthy says he appreciates the City of Elmira and its leadership for their consideration and for working with to explore the possibility of housing a district office in Elmira City Hall. After careful review, the available space does not meet the full operational needs of a congressional district office, and they are pursuing other potential properties going forward.”
The resolution would have authorized a lease and lease attachment permitting Langworthy to rent 400 square feet of space in Elmira City Hall for $450 per month, according to previous reports.
