A Steuben County man has been indicted on 146 counts connected to the rape of a child.
According to the Steuben County District Attorney’s Office, 31-year-old Allen P. Jerome has been charged with 105 counts of rape in the second degree, 29 counts of rape in the third degree, three counts of strangulation in the second degree and other related crimes.
Jerome was charged with the crimes by the New York State Police in November following an investigation into reports of long-term sexual abuse against a child.
He allegedly committed the crimes from 2021 to 2025.
Jerome was remanded to the Steuben County Jail on $100,000 bail.
