YATES COUNTY, N.Y. — A Tennessee man has been arrested on multiple felony charges following an investigation into alleged sex crimes involving a minor in Yates County.
The Yates County Sheriff’s Office says 20-year-old Tyler J. Castner, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, faces several charges, including use of a child in a sexual performance, promoting a sexual performance by a child, and dissemination of indecent material to a minor.
Investigators say the case involved online communication between Castner and a minor in Yates County. Authorities allege he persuaded the victim to engage in sexually explicit conduct on multiple occasions.
Castner was arrested in Tennessee by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and later transferred to Yates County to face charges.
He was processed in court and remanded to the Yates County Jail in lieu of bail.
