A Towanda woman has been arrested as a fugitive from justice in Chemung County.
According to the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office, 50-year-old Kerry L. Churchman was a fugitive from justice out of Bradford County for failing to appear in court on a retail theft charge.
Churchman was already in custody at the Chemung County Jail when she was arrested and processed as a fugitive from justice.
She will remain in the Chemung County Jail as she awaits extradition to Pennsylvania.
