Two men charged following disturbance in Elmira

Two Elmira men were arrested following an incident involving a man threatening residents with a gun on Wednesday night.

Elmira Police Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of West Gray Street at around 11:30 pm on Wednesday for a disturbance involving two men.

According to police, 28-year-old Davion Jones was charged with two counts of menacing in the second degree and one count of failing to safely store rifles, shotguns and firearms, both are Class A misdemeanors.

Police also arrested 31-year-old Jeremy Wilson Jr. for criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, which is a Class D felony.
