The Yates County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim in the kayaking accident in Canandaigua Lake.
According to police, 26-year-old Ben Hamann of Farmington, New York was killed in the accident on Thursday, Oct. 16th.
A report of a missing kayaker led to a six-hour search, which included boats, drones and divers in the lake, before the body was discovered.
