On Saturday morning, the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a fatal Utility Terrain Vehicle accident in the Town of Homer. The UTV left the trail and struck a tree, ejecting the operator from the vehicle. The trail was used to access a hunting camp in the woods. There were no passengers on the vehicle. The operator was pronounced deceased at the scene. His name is being withheld pending the notification of the family. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
