The former Addison Village Clerk who stole more than a million dollars from the village was sentenced to state prison on Wednesday.
According to WENY-TV, 56-year-old Ursula Stone was sentenced to three to nine years in state prison for the theft, which took place over two decades.
The former village clerk pleaded guilty to one count of first degree corrupting the government in May. She was originally charged with 192 felony counts in November of last year for stealing $1.1 million in village funds between January of 2004 and April of 2023.
Stone resigned as village clerk in March of 2023.
