One lane of traffic on Route 17 was closed for more than 12 hours yesterday after a tractor-trailer hauling construction debris overturned in the median between Apalachin and Vestal. The accident happened around 5:30am, and traffic was affected until 6:15pm as crews worked to remove the construction debris and clean up a diesel fuel leak after the accident. The driver was treated for minor injuries and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
