(Elmira, NY) – Elmira Downtown Development is pleased to announce the return of Downtown Clean Up beginning at Wisner Park on Saturday May 13 from 9am to noon.
Elmira Downtown, the City of Elmira, Elmira Kiwanis Club and other community agencies and local businesses will host Downtown Clean Up. The Downtown Clean Up crew is a volunteer program that ushers in spring by cleaning winter debris off streets and walkways.
In past years, over 400 volunteers supported this endeavor and helped to make Elmira a more beautiful place to live, work and play. Volunteers are supplied with everything they need, gloves, rakes, garbage bags … and of course, a giant pizza party and a Downtown Clean Up T-shirt for a job well done.
