A bus filled with students slipped off the road and into a ditch on Monday afternoon. The incident took place along Driscoll Road in the Town of Barker as the bus was taking home students from the Whitney Point School District. No one was seriously injured, and parents were called to the crash to pick up their children. Three school nurses were also brought to the scene. NYSEG also had to be brought in because the bus struck a utility pole, causing a power line to be stretched to the point of almost snapping.
