A Nanticoke man is accused of striking a person in the head with the handle of a wooden axe following a dispute on Saturday. State Police have charged 47-year-old Kevin Murphy with a felony count of second-degree assault after an incident that took place on Anoka Road in Nanticoke. The victim was treated at a local hospital and Murphy has been sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
