One man is charged with attempted murder after a shooting on the Ithaca Commons early Sunday morning. Ithaca Police were called to a report of shots fired at 1:30 outside of Silky Jones Bar. One male victim was found at the scene and taken to a local hospital for treatment. He was listed in serious but stable condition yesterday. The suspect in the shooting has been identified as 22-year-old Yakez Cornett of Ithaca. He was arrested after the shooting and found to be in possession of a loaded handgun. He was sent to the Tompkins County Jail after arraignment.
