One person jumped from an Elmira apartment after it caught fire Tuesday night. Elmira fire officials say the fire at 302 Lormore Street on the city’s southside started around 11:00 last night. Officials say one person was home at the time the fire broke out, and they jumped from the second floor to safety, avoiding any injury. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
