Teachers in the Sayre Area School District are now working with contracts for the first time since 2013. Both the Sayre Area Board of Education and teacher’s union, approved a teacher contract during a meeting last night. While details on the contract agreement still have not been released to the public, both the district and union say that compromises were made on both sides. The agreement will be retroactive to July 1st 2013, and continue through June 30th 2019.
