Congratulations to the team from Towanda Area High School for winning the 43rd annual Scholarship Challenge at the Sayre Theatre. They topped second-place finisher, Notre Dame High School, by the score of 130-90.
PA State Rep. Tina Pickett was happy to be there at the Sayre Theatre cheering them on. Nineteen schools from Pennsylvania and New York competed in this year’s event, sponsored by First Citizens Community Bank (FCCB) and broadcast live by Choice 102 FM Radio and all Radigan Media Stations. Towanda took home $3,000 and the Kwasnoski Cup, which was presented by Lisa Lucas (third from right), in memory of her brother.
