After a devastating fire which destroyed the building late last month, the former Waverly Department of Public Works building has been demolished. Crews worked for several days to gut the inside of the building until Friday when heavy machinery was called in to demolish the remainder of the structure. More information, possibly including the total cost of damage, is expected to be discussed by Village of Waverly Trustees in a meeting tomorrow. The meeting is to be held at the village hall on Ithaca Street beginning at about 6:30pm. The public is welcome to attend.
