A manhunt is underway in Geneseo, near the SUNY campus. 49-year-old David Clyde Morgan of Wilmington, North Carolina allegedly pointed a gun at a Geneseo police officer following a traffic stop and then fled into a nearby corn field. Police, K9 units, and several helicopters have been searching the area since the Wednesday night incident. Morgan is considered armed and dangerous. His companion was apprehended and said that the suspect believes there is a federal warrant outstanding that would send him to jail for life. SUNY Geneseo cancelled all activities on Thursday. The surrounding area has been evacuated and resident are asked to keep their doors locked. The search is the largest law enforcement action in Livingston County’s history.
