Two people were killed in a house fire in the early morning hours on Monday in Herrick Township in Bradford County.
Ashley Roehrig and her daughter Avery lost their lives in the fire, which started at around 4:20 a.m. on Lent Road. The home was deemed a total loss.
Firefighters from Herrick Township, LeRaysville, Rome, Wyalusing, Wysox and North Towanda responded to the scene.
Firefighters were called back to the scene multiple times on Monday as the fire rekindled.
The Wyalusing Area School District has announced it will host community support from 10:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. today in the Community Board Room at the Wyalusing Elementary School. Counselors and pastoral support will be available to assist anyone in need during this difficult time.
A GoFundMe page has been set up and as of 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday had already raised over $77,000.
