New York State Police are investigating a deadly double stabbing in the Town of Chenango.
Troopers responded to 1086 Castle Creek Road around 11:15 p.m. Thursday, where the homeowner, 50-year-old Harry Swan, had been fatally stabbed following a confrontation with 48-year-old Jeffrey Ryan of Binghamton. Before his death, police say Swan was able to retreat into his home, grab a knife, and stab Ryan. Ryan was taken to Wilson Hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing. Police will provide additional information as it becomes available.
