A Binghamton man is in critical but stable condition after being electrocuted inside a NYSEG substation on Monday.
Binghamton Police said a 39-year-old man suffered serious burns during the incident inside a fenced-in area that surrounds the Ansco substation in the city’s first ward.
NYSEG workers had to cut power to the site in order for first responders to reach the man safely.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
