Binghamton Mayor Jared Kraham has announced nearly $2 million dollars in funding for three housing projects.
Metro Interfaith will receive $900,000 to redevelop an abandoned apartment building across from Binghamton High School.
The First Ward Action Council is set to receive $800,000 to support the Gateway Revitalization Project which will create 38 housing units on Clinton Street and Front Street.
The Broome County Urban League will get $200,000 to expand homelessness prevention and rapid re-housing services.
The funding is coming from the Federal Home American Rescue Plan Program. It still needs to be approved by the Binghamton City Council.
