Binghamton University has selected its new president just in time for the start of the 2025-26 school year.

Anne D’Alleva was approved to be the university’s eighth president by the State University of New York Board of Trustees on Tuesday.

She comes to Binghamton after serving as the provost and executive vice president of academic affairs at the University of Connecticut.

D’Alleva takes over for longtime Binghamton University President Harvey Stenger who announced his retirement last October.
