Broome County District Attorney Steve Cornwell has confirmed the arrest of Orlando Tercero in Nicaragua. Tercero is alleged to have murdered Binghamton University nursing student, Haley Anderson. Tercero was pictured to have a bandage on his head, apparently from a self inflicted injury. The district attorney said that his office was working with police to prepare the case for the Grand Jury. Upon an indictment, the US Department of State will present a warrant to Nicaragua requesting that Tercero be extradited. There is still confusion as to whether Tercero has dual citizenship with Nicaragua. The DA would not reveal any of the facts of the case.
