The man alleged to have struck a New York State trooper with his vehicle last January 2nd will be getting a new public defender. James Giacalone has entered a not guilty plea to attempted murder in the case. It was learned that his former public defender also represented a witness in the case. The trial will be delayed until a new attorney is engaged.
