Binghamton Police say two people are in custody after failing to stop for a traffic violation just after 6 p.m. on Saturday. Police say two passengers in the car were taken into custody while the driver allegedly ran from the scene. Police blocked off the area of Bevier Street, Green Street and Chenango Street while searching for the driver. No weapons were found and no injuries were reported. The search continued until 7:30 PM. No description of the driver was given. The investigation is ongoing.
