A chimney fire turned into a house fire in Port Crane on Sunday.
According to WBNG-TV, firefighters were called to the Virginia City Mobile Home Court at about 3:50 p.m. on Sunday for a reported chimney fire.
The fire quickly spread throughout the home and residents were evacuated.
Firefighters from Port Crane, Sanitaria Springs and Chenango Forks as well as the Broome County Sheriff’s Office and Broome EMS responded to the scene.
The home sustained moderate damage from the fire.
No injuries were reported from the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
