Law enforcement are trying to learn more about what caused a driver to crash into his own house Monday afternoon. Authorities say the driver told deputies he was pulling into his driveway at 132 Iris Drive when all of a sudden the vehicle lurched forward, and took off “like a rocket,” crashing into the home. The Broome County Sheriff’s Office says the vehicle did not appear to have any mechanical issues, and the driver did not have a medical emergency during the crash. Officials say the driver was not injured.
