The New York State Police arrested an Endicott man who allegedly struck and damaged a trooper’s vehicle last week.
According to police, 33-year-old Devon M. Carty deliberately drove a Dodge Durango into the trooper’s patrol vehicle after police attempted a traffic stop on State Route 17 in the Town of Union at around 7 p.m. on June 12.
Carty was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Broome County Jail for arraignment.
He was charged with criminal mischief in the second degree, a Class D felony, and misdemeanor counts of unlawfully fleeing an officer and reckless driving, as well as vehicle and traffic infractions.
