Endicott man to serve six years for weapons charge

An Endicott man will spend six years in prison for a weapons charge.

According to the Broome County district Attorney’s Offic,e 30-year-old Joshua Mazyck was sentenced for attempted criminal possession of a weapon.

A traffic stop on June 5 resulted in police finding more than a half an ounce of fentanyl pils and packing materials. Police then executed a search warrant on Aug. 21 and found a loaded handgun and more drugs.

Mazyck will also serve five years of probation following his release.
