A 33-year-old Florida man was convicted of a weapons charge in Broome County Court on Monday.
According to the Broome County District Attorney’s Office, Dorian G. Raysor was found guilty of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree and tampering with physical evidence.
Raysor fled a scene when confronted by police near Eldredge Street on May 6. He then discarded a loaded semi-automatic handgun and a high-capacity magazine in the brush along Brandywine Avenue.
Raysor is scheduled to be sentenced in March. He is facing 19 years in prison.
