The former Johnson City High School has been deemed unfit to be occupied.
According to a notice posted on the door of the building on Main Street, all persons are ordered to vacate.
This comes just a day after the Broome County IDA held a hearing on possibly turning the old school into a housing complex.
News Channel 34 has reported that the building, which is currently known as the NyPenn Trade Center, was shut down due to recent vandalism, which caused one of the building’s electrical panels to be destroyed.
The Lane Group is in negotiations to purchase the building with a closing date expected in the next two months.
