Several local fire departments responded to a home on Crocker Hill Road in Binghamton on Monday morning for a reported structure fire.
According to WBNG-TV, the homeowner was heading to the garage when he saw flames inside the building. He attempted to put the fire out, but at that point it was too big and he called 911.
The homeowner used his garage to practice his woodworking hobbies and the fire destroyed all of his equipment.
The garage was destroyed, but firefighters were able to save the house.
There were no reported injuries from the incident. The Port Crane Fire Department said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
