Last Friday, the Johnson City police were responded to a report of an assault victim lying on the ground on Endicott Avenue. The 64-year-old man was found to be unresponsive and was taken to Wilson Hospital for treatment. The victim received a traumatic brain injury and remains in the hospital. The victim was assaulted during a dispute in front of his house. Police have arrested 43-year-old Edward Stokes and charged him with felony Assault. The suspect is being held for arraignment. Additional charges may be filed.
