NY State Police arrest Endicott pharmacist for fraudulent prescriptions

The New York State Police have arrested a pharmacist in Endicott for fraudulent prescription practice.

According to police, 46-year-old Binghamton resident Clyde T. Stevens has been charged with five counts of criminal sale of a prescription for a controlled substance by a practitioner or pharmacist, 11 felony counts of second-degree forgery, felony grand larceny and other related charges.

Stevens was arrested on Feb. 23 following an investigation into fraudulent prescription practices at the Rite Aid pharmacy in Endicott.

He is accused of illegally dispensing controlled and non-controlled substances, including fraudulent prescriptions while he was employed as a pharmacist.
