2 Passed Out; Face Drug Charges

On January 20, 2019, troopers were dispatched to a possible overdose in a vehicle parked in Dollar General on North Road in the town of Windsor.  Troopers observed both occupants passed out and were able to eventually wake them and they were assessed by paramedics.  An investigation revealed that both occupants were in possession of drugs.

 

Caitlynn M. Rhodes, age 24 of Colesville, was arrested and charged with the felonies of Tampering with Physical Evidence and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree and the violations of Unlawful Possession of Marihuana and Unlawful Possession of a Firework.  Tieler A. Kennerup, age 24 of Windsor, was arrested and charged with the misdemeanor of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree and the violations of Unlawful Possession of Marihuana and Unlawful Possession of a Firework. Troopers initially located drug paraphernalia, marijuana and illegal fireworks.

 

After a further investigation at the barracks, Rhodes attempted to flush narcotics down the toilet, she was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine hidden in her clothes and in her body.  Both Kennerup and Rhodes were arraigned at Broome County Central Arraignment and Processing.  Kennerup was released on his own recognizance and Rhodes was remanded to the Broome County jail without bail.
