The Broome County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division has arrested 48-year-old Jerome Austin of Binghamton. He is accused of falsifying return and refund transactions totaling over $3,000 during a three-month period while employed by a local restaurant in the Town of Dickinson. Austin was charged with Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree, a class D Felony and 1count of Falsifying Business Records in the 2nd degree a class A Misdemeanor. Austin was processed and turned over to the Broome County Centralized Arraignment Part at the Broome County Sheriff’s Office Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
